To the Nowak family,
My sincerest condolences on the loss of your son, brother, uncle and friend.
I just learned of Louie's passing when I tried to contact him to wish him a belated happy birthday. I was so taken aback and deeply saddened by this information. Louie and I were good friends and roommates in Chicago (Logan Square) for a number of years. I remember meeting a sister once (Betty) who was in town and stopped by to visit Louie.
Louie was a sincere friend, a sweet, good-natured, talented man who had a good heart and a smile for everyone. Although we were not in regular contact, I have fond memories of Louie and he will forever be in my heart.

My husband Gelasio and I, Mary Catherine, send the Nowak Family our deepest sympathy. These words we know are not enough, however we wish you to take comfort in knowing that he touched all who met him. In our Chicago Neighborhood, Lakeview, Wrigleyville, Louis was the gentle Boutique Owner with the most exquisite taste; his shop was two doors down from our apartment and then only one block when he moved. We were loyal customers all these years and became genuine friends. We reach out to the entire Nowak Family and his vast network of friends through the years to offer our support, and any assistance. On the behalf of the Stella Blue Design family, we are deeply saddened to say goodbye to our good friend and beloved neighbor Louis, Curator/Owner of Persona Boutique.
Louis will be incredibly missed & he'll forever be cherished as a GEM & a pioneer among the Southport community/family. So sorry for your loss. I didn't know Louie very well but whenever I would see him at our condo, he was always very pleasant and friendly. I could tell that he was a really nice person and I'm sure you will all miss him dearly. You have my sincere condolences.

To the entire Nowak family,
I was so sorry to year about the death of Louie. I remember him well as a talented and fun person. I know how difficult it is to lose the first of your siblings, and I will always remember Evelyn and Sue attending our brother David's funeral. That meant so much to all of us. I regret that we cannot attend the services for Louie, but please know that we are with you in spirit and prayers. I am so very sad to hear of the sudden passing of such a kind man. I have been a customer of Persona
#1 (southport) and #2 (waveland) for many years and Louis was always so very kind...great taste and such a great neighbor.
He will be sorely missed. Please take solace that he had a wonderful impact on so many...so very sorry for your loss.

Nowack Family,
Please except my deep condolences on the passing of Louis. So so saddened. Louis was a wonderful person and delightful shop keeper. I have known Louis since he opened his first shop in Chicago. Persona has been a main stay on Southport and will be missed much. Louis was very generous donating jewelry for an organization I volunteer for and his donated pieces brought great prices at our auction.
What a dear dear man that will be missed so very much.

It was so sad to hear of Louie's passing. I remember him from high school as just being the best person anyone could be. He always had a positive attitude. His singing voice was absolutely wonderful. I sang in a quartet with him along with Roger Boisen and Chris Guralski and we received many 1st rankings thanks to his wonderful voice. My thoughts and prayers are with his whole family.

I'm basically, IN SHOCK. I'm sad, I'm angry, I just find out. Louis was a GREAT guy and a friend. I'm so sorry and I'm just atrying a loss.
