Obituary of Lenore Elizabeth Faulks

Lenore Elizabeth Colvin Faulks, 93, died at 1:28pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Wells Nature View in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Bill Nesbitt officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of services. Committal services will be at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield at a later date. The honor of pallbearer belongs to Mario Koran and Gina Koran. Lenore was born to Emmett & Alverda (Frankland) Colvin on February 19, 1926. She married Clifford Jesse Faulks on September 22, 1944 in Marshfield. She was a 1943 graduate of Stratford High and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Lenore taught school for 34 years, beginning in country one-room schools. She taught first grade in the Stratford Public Schools for most of her teaching career. Lenore was a member of Community Bible Church in Stratford. She loved travelling with her husband, camping, and spending time with friends and family. She was known for her kind, sweet, and witty personality. Lenore is survived by three daughters, Lois Nancy (Ronald) Larsen of Wisconsin Rapids; Kristin Lee (Roger) Kuypers of Elizabethton, Tennessee; and Patricia Lou (Rick) Koran of Wausau; her younger sister, Janiece Fischer of Plover; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Karisha, Kourtney, Gina, Mario, and Magnolia; 11 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her twin sister, Lois Beckman; and her daughter, Jane Naser. Lenore's family wishes to thank the group of longtime friends and former teaching colleagues who blessed her with love and companionship after her retirement and throughout the last years of her life. Thanks also to the caring, loving staff at Wells Nature View and the doctors and nurses on 8 North at the Marshfield Hospital for their excellent care of Lenore.
